The TPM approach:
- Prioritizes alignment between education and workforce systems
- Creates shared value for students and workers, education and training providers, and employers
- Shifts employers into the driver’s seat to proactively lead partnerships with talent providers
- Equips business with the practical tools necessary to build an effective talent supply chain
- Provides a systematic framework flexible enough to be pursued as its own initiative or to enhance the employer role in an existing initiative
These strategies drive effective solutions throughout the talent pipeline, delivering value to talent providers, businesses, and Minnesota’s workforce.
Minnesota currently has two TPM collaboratives:
The Older Adult Services collaborative consists of employers offering services in long-term care and focuses on the Certified Nursing Assistant position as a critical occupation. With hospitals and long-term care facilities facing prolonged staffing shortages, this work is more important now than ever.
In 2020, the Twin Cities Metro area alone had almost 800 public sector establishments – employing tens of thousands. The Public Sector Employers collaborative consists of city and county government employers. The collaborative concluded a pilot focusing on the Engineering Technician positions as a critical occupation and will continue to use the TPM framework on a different occupation.
RealTime Talent has completed the Talent Pipeline Management Academy and training held in Washington D.C. and now serves as the facilitation host for collaboratives in Minnesota.
